PLDT reported stable performance in 2025, with growth in its wireless data and home broadband businesses offsetting continued pressure from a highly competitive telecommunications market.
The company said its Wireless Consumer segment generated ₱85 billion in revenues for the year, supported largely by increased data usage and the rollout of 5G services nationwide.
Fourth-quarter revenues rose 4% from the previous quarter, which PLDT attributed to adjustments in pricing strategy, customer management, and efforts to push 5G adoption.
Wireless data revenues — including Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) — reached ₱77.2 billion, accounting for 91% of total wireless consumer revenues. Total data traffic climbed 7% year-on-year to 5,914 petabytes, carried by 43.2 million active data users.
Device migration to newer networks continued, with 5G handset adoption rising 35% year-on-year to 11.2 million units. These devices now make up 19% of those running on PLDT’s network. Revenues from FWA services grew 22% as more subscribers shifted from 4G-based connections to 5G.
PLDT’s Home business also posted gains, with revenues reaching a record ₱61.0 billion, up 3% from 2024. The increase was driven almost entirely by fiber broadband, which expanded 6% to ₱59.4 billion and now contributes 98% of total Home revenues — reflecting the near-complete transition away from legacy copper-based services.
The company said the results highlight its continued pivot toward data-centric services and fiber infrastructure as household and enterprise demand for high-speed connectivity rises.
“Despite a highly competitive and value-driven market, PLDT demonstrated significant resilience, underpinned by a strategic shift toward 5G monetization and the continued expansion of its fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) leadership,” the company said.
