Global technology group Beyond has opened a delivery center in Manila as it expands its engineering operations for artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and cloud services.
The UK-founded company, a Google Cloud Premier Partner, said it plans to grow its Philippine workforce to more than 300 employees over the next 18 to 24 months.
Beyond has hired its first 25 employees and expects to add another 100 workers within the next four months.
The Manila center will initially support clients in Europe and North America before extending its services to the broader Asia-Pacific market.
“Our choice of Manila is not just about strategic business advantages; it’s also about the cultural appeal and warmth of the Filipino people,” said Geoff Newell, technology and customer transformation executive and delivery center director for Beyond Asia Pacific.
“We aim to build a globally admired operation, leveraging exceptional English proficiency and the nation’s world-class universities.”
Beyond specializes in Google Cloud-based AI, security, commerce, and engineering services. The company is also expanding into knowledge process outsourcing and professional services as customers seek more specialized technology capabilities.
“We are focused on tripling our global headcount and rapidly adopting new technologies to meet the complex demands of our clients,” Newell said.
The Manila facility forms part of Beyond’s broader plan to expand its international workforce and establish delivery operations in markets with a large pool of technology professionals.
