Canon Philippines has launched the EOS R6 V, a full-frame hybrid camera aimed at videographers and content creators, alongside the RF20-50mm F4 L IS USM PZ power-zoom lens.
The EOS R6 V uses a 32.5-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor and supports video recording at resolutions of up to 7K and frame rates of up to 60 frames per second.
Its recording options include 7K 30p Open Gate, which captures the full sensor area and gives creators more flexibility when cropping footage for horizontal or vertical formats.
The camera also offers slow- and fast-motion recording modes, in-body image stabilization and an internal cooling fan designed to support longer recording sessions while reducing the risk of overheating.
Canon gave the camera a flat, compact body with a dedicated tripod mount for vertical shooting, reflecting the growing use of portrait-oriented video on social media platforms.
Launched with the camera is the RF20-50mm F4 L IS USM PZ, Canon’s second RF lens equipped with built-in power zoom. Its 20mm-to-50mm focal range covers ultra-wide and standard perspectives, while its constant f/4 aperture maintains the same exposure throughout the zoom range.
The lens uses an internal optical design intended to keep its center of gravity stable when mounted on a gimbal. It also supports remote zoom control.
The EOS R6 V is priced at P148,998 for the body only and P229,998 when bundled with the RF20-50mm lens. The lens is sold separately for P90,998.
Pre-orders include a PGYTECH 16L OneGo Lite camera bag and a 256GB CFexpress Type B card.
Canon also introduced the BR-E2 Wireless Remote Control, priced at P3,900, and the HG-200TBR Multi-Function Tripod Grip, priced at P9,000. The tripod grip supports horizontal and vertical shooting and includes controls for video recording.
