Philippine-founded AI and data consultancy Thinking Machines has been designated as an OpenAI Advanced Partner and the sole reseller of ChatGPT Enterprise in the country, as more local organizations move beyond small-scale AI trials.
The partnership allows Thinking Machines to deploy OpenAI technologies for Philippine companies and help integrate generative AI into their operations. The consultancy said it was previously selected as OpenAI’s first service partner in the Asia-Pacific region.
The arrangement comes amid growing use of generative AI in the Philippines. According to figures cited by the companies, the country ranks among the top 15 markets worldwide in ChatGPT usage, while nearly 40% of messages sent through the consumer platform are related to work.
Thinking Machines said enterprises are beginning to shift from isolated pilot projects toward broader AI strategies, including the use of AI agents to perform multi-step tasks and support business processes.

Founded in 2015, Thinking Machines employs more than 150 data scientists and engineers and operates in the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.
The company also works with Mapua University, Far Eastern University, and the CIIT College of Arts and Technology on programs intended to develop local AI talent.
Thinking Machines recently received an investment from Temus, a digital transformation company backed by Singapore state investor Temasek. The investment is expected to expand the participation of Filipino AI professionals in projects for Temus clients in Singapore.
