The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) said it is accelerating the development of a centralized portal that will list accredited cybersecurity laboratories, assessed equipment, and official certification credentials.
DICT secretary Henry Aguda discussed the portal during the agency’s first official inspection of RT&Co. Cybersecurity Inc., the country’s first accredited Cybersecurity Posture Assessment Laboratory (CPAL) provider.
The DICT said Aguda also called for the completion of a policy paper covering the CPAL program, which provides a standardized and vendor-neutral system for evaluating technologies deployed in the Philippines.
Established under Department Circular No. HRA-003, Series of 2026, the framework covers the technical assessment of information and communications technology, operational technology, industrial control systems, and Internet of Things devices.
The planned Centralized CPAL Portal is intended to allow government agencies, companies, and the public to verify accredited laboratories, equipment assessment results, and certification credentials.
The program is also expected to provide Filipino cybersecurity professionals with practical experience in testing and evaluating digital and industrial systems.
“The CPAL program is more than a compliance framework — it is an important component of the country’s cybersecurity and national resilience strategy,” the DICT said.
