Burgers accounted for about one-fourth of late-night orders placed through foodpanda in the Philippines during the first half of 2026, according to data released by the delivery platform.
foodpanda said burgers represented 25.3% of all deliveries made between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. from January to June, making them the most frequently ordered food during the period.
The company said the pattern was observed across its major delivery markets, including Metro Manila and provincial cities. It did not disclose the total number of orders covered by the data or provide a breakdown by location.
Foodpanda linked the trend partly to the country’s large night-shift workforce, particularly in the information technology and business process management industry.
The IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines said the industry ended 2025 with 1.9 million workers and $40 billion in revenue. About 60% of the workforce reportedly works night shifts to serve markets in Western time zones.
foodpanda said the figures indicate that late-night customers tend to choose filling meals instead of lighter snacks.
“Late-night ordering has become an increasingly important dining occasion for many Filipinos,” said Patricia Jacinto, growth and marketing director of foodpanda Philippines.
“While we offer thousands of food choices on the app, burgers continue to stand out as the top pick after 11 PM. The consistency of this trend across the country shows how customers value meals that are familiar, satisfying, and convenient, whether they’re working late, studying, or simply winding down for the day.”
foodpanda operates in 150 cities and municipalities in the Philippines. The platform is owned by Germany-based food delivery company Delivery Hero.
