realme has launched the Harry Potter Edition of its 16 Pro 5G smartphone to the Philippines, with a design inspired by Hogwarts and software features based on the popular fantasy franchise.
The limited-edition device features a Hogwarts four-house crest on a diamond-patterned finish inspired by wizard chess. According to realme, the back panel changes color under ultraviolet (UV) light, revealing the colors of all four Hogwarts houses through its Quadra Light-Sensing Color-changing Technology.
Other design details include an aluminum-alloy camera module inspired by Hedwig, Harry Potter’s owl, and a laser-engraved “Welcome to Hogwarts” inscription on the phone’s mid-frame. The device measures 8.47mm thick.
The Harry Potter theme also extends to the software, with a Hogwarts Castle wallpaper, a themed startup animation, a fingerprint animation featuring acceptance letters, and more than 30 redesigned app icons.
On the hardware side, the smartphone carries a 200-megapixel LumaColor camera, a 7,000mAh battery with 80-watt fast charging, and a 144Hz FHD+ Amoled display. It also has an IP69 Pro dust and water resistance rating, according to the company.
The phone will come in a limited-edition gift box styled after a Hogwarts acceptance kit.
Priced at P39,999, the realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition joins the realme 16 Pro 5G Series as a limited release for fans and collectors. Fewer than 200 units will be available nationwide, with Hogwarts-inspired store displays at SM Fairview, SM North EDSA, and SM Calamba. The device will also be available at kiosks in SM Clark, SM Dasmariñas, and SM Megamall.
