Dongfeng Motors Philippines has launched the Mage EV, an electric SUV with a claimed driving range of 530 kilometers, priced at P1.398 million.
The vehicle was unveiled on Oct. 22 at the 14th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS), adding another model to the company’s electric vehicle lineup in the Philippines.
The Mage EV supports DC fast charging, with the company citing a charging time of about 30 minutes. It also has a 413-liter luggage compartment and an estimated driving cost of P2 per kilometer, according to the company.
Dongfeng is positioning the vehicle for both private motorists and transport network vehicle service (TNVS) operators, citing its driving range, charging capability, and operating cost.
The 530-kilometer range and P1.398-million price are key selling points for buyers considering an electric SUV.
Actual range and charging times may vary depending on driving conditions, battery state, and charging equipment.
The launch was attended by representatives of Dongfeng Motors Philippines and Tara Global Technology, along with automotive media and other industry stakeholders.
The Mage EV joins Dongfeng’s Philippine lineup of electrified and fuel-efficient vehicles, which includes the Vigo EV, Nammi EV, and Huge Hybrid.
