Ford Philippines has introduced a rear-wheel drive (RWD) version of the Mustang Mach-E in the country, expanding its electric vehicle lineup with a lower-priced variant aimed at buyers prioritizing range and efficiency.
In a statement, the company said the limited-edition Mustang Mach-E RWD is priced at P2.599 million, reflecting a P500,000 discount from its standard retail price, with an additional P100,000 discount available for the Grabber Yellow color option.
The RWD variant complements the all-wheel drive (AWD) model launched last year, offering a single-motor setup that delivers 276 horsepower and 525 Nm of torque.
Ford said the configuration improves energy efficiency and extends driving range to an estimated 615 kilometers on a single charge.
“The arrival of the Mustang Mach-E RWD underscores our commitment to bringing the best of Ford’s global electric lineup to the Philippines,” said Pedro Simoes, managing director of Ford Philippines.
“By offering the RWD variant, we are providing our customers with a choice that emphasizes efficiency and long-range capability, all while maintaining the exhilarating performance and head-turning design that makes the Mach-E a true Mustang.”
The vehicle features three drive modes — Whisper, Engage, and Unbridle — along with a one-pedal driving system that uses regenerative braking to improve efficiency, particularly in stop-and-go traffic.
Inside, the Mach-E RWD is equipped with a 15.5-inch touchscreen running the SYNC 4A system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster.
It also includes a front trunk or “frunk,” adding 80 liters of storage space on top of the rear cargo capacity.
The model will be available in select dealerships, including those in Alabang, Balintawak, Cebu, EDSA, Global City, Libis, and Marikina.
