The Philippines is taking part in World Quantum Week 2026 with a series of activities aimed at raising awareness and encouraging participation in quantum technology.
The week-long event, running from April 14 to 19, is led by the Quantum Computing Society of the Philippines (QCSP) in partnership with the IEEE Computer Society Philippine Chapter.
Organizers said the program includes learning sessions, webinars, competitions, and professional showcases designed to make quantum concepts more accessible.
Scheduled activities include “Quantum Mythbusters,” “Professional Spotlight,” and “QUBIES: Intro to Quantum,” along with talks on quantum applications and research.
Competitions such as XQubit, QuizBit, and Quantum Circuit Crunch are also lined up to engage participants in science communication, knowledge testing, and problem-solving.
QCSP president Bobby Corpus said “global attention on quantum technology continues to grow, World Quantum Week Philippines 2026 highlights the importance of early awareness, talent development, and stronger engagement among students, professionals, researchers, and institutions”.
