RELX marks 15 years in PH, expands footprint and workforce

RELX | Reed Elsevier marked its 15th year of operations in the Philippines, highlighting its expansion from editorial services to technology and analytics work across multiple industries.

The company, which started local operations in 2011, now employs more than 6,000 workers and has expanded beyond Metro Manila to sites in Iloilo, Alabang, Cebu, and Davao.

RELX said its Philippine operations support global products and platforms in software engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, and risk analytics, serving sectors such as healthcare, legal, and financial services.

The firm has also gained external recognition, including being named among the Philippines’ Best Employers for 2026 by the Philippine Daily Inquirer and Statista. It marked the company’s first entry into the Top 50 and its third consecutive year on the list.

“From our humble beginnings, RELX | Reed Elsevier invested deeply in learning and development across all disciplines of technology, analytics, industry domains, and leadership,” said managing director Mark Lwin.

RELX said it continues to invest in workforce development through internal training programs and certifications in areas such as AI, Agile, Six Sigma, robotic process automation, and information security.

The company also cited its corporate social responsibility efforts, including a P4.3-million commitment for 2026 through its RELX Cares program in partnership with the Kapatid Kita Mahal Kita Foundation to support education initiatives. Some scholars from the program have since joined the company’s workforce.

RELX added that it has received workplace-related recognitions, including being ranked third among top inspiring workplaces in Asia by the Inspiring Workplaces Group in 2025.
