A Cebu-based technology entrepreneur has launched an AI-powered point-of-sale platform aimed at modernizing laundry shop operations in the Philippines and overseas.
LaundromatAI, developed by Cebuano founder Sean Raynon, is designed specifically for laundry businesses still relying on manual tracking, paper tickets, and outdated POS systems.
Raynon, who has worked in systems architecture, workflow automation, and digital strategy for more than two decades, said the platform was created to address operational inefficiencies commonly faced by laundry shop operators.
“I’ve always believed that technology should simplify work,” Raynon said. “Laundry shops are essential businesses, but most of the tools available to them haven’t evolved. I wanted to build laundry POS software that actually understands their day-to-day challenges.”
The platform includes AI-powered POS functions, automated staff workflows, machine status tracking, customer notifications, digital ticketing, and real-time operational monitoring. It also supports BIR compliance features and digital payment options such as GCash and Maya.
According to the company, many laundry shops in the country still depend on manual processes that can lead to operational errors, long queues, and revenue losses.
Raynon said the software was engineered specifically for laundry operations using multi-tenant architecture, mobile-first tools, AI-assisted workflows, and optimization for low-bandwidth environments.
“Performance isn’t just a developer metric,” he said. “For laundry owners, speed means shorter queues, faster transactions, and smoother operations.”
The company said the platform recently achieved perfect Google PageSpeed scores and a 100 health score on Ahrefs, benchmarks it said reflect the system’s technical readiness for expansion.
Raynon said the broader goal is to make AI-driven tools accessible to small and medium-sized businesses.
“AI shouldn’t be limited to big tech companies,” he said. “It should empower small and medium businesses — the people who keep our communities running.”
LaundromatAI is currently being rolled out in the Philippines, with versions for the US and Canada also in development.
