VeritasPay widens PH footprint to support SME digital payments

Payment solutions provider VeritasPay Philippines is expanding its operations nationwide as more small and medium enterprises (SMEs) adopt digital payment systems amid the country’s growing cashless economy.

The company said it has broadened its reach from Metro Manila and nearby areas in 2021 to merchants across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, reflecting rising demand for digital payment services outside major urban centers.

VeritasPay currently offers merchants a platform that supports multiple payment methods, including credit and debit cards, QR code payments, and other digital channels.

“At the point of sale, speed and reliability are critical to customer experience,” said Christopher James Payne, president and CEO of VeritasPay.

The company’s platform allows businesses to process payments through physical point-of-sale terminals, mobile devices, online checkout pages, and banking channels under a single provider.

VeritasPay said the setup is designed to simplify payment processing for businesses operating multiple branches or sales channels.

“At VeritasPay, we remain committed to empowering businesses by delivering accessible, reliable, and innovative payment solutions that drive growth and long-term success,” said Carl Henrison Tienzo, the company’s general manager and business development head.

VeritasPay said its products are divided into two categories: in-store payment solutions such as OnePOS, MobilePOS, and ExpressPOS, and online payment services including EasyLink, Checkout, Online Banking, and Over-the-Counter.

The company said it is targeting a 30% to 40% increase in its merchant base this year, along with a 45% rise in transaction volume, supported by investments in partnerships and internal operations.

VeritasPay added that its reporting tools allow merchants to monitor sales and payment activity across terminals, payment types, and store locations, helping businesses manage operations as they scale.

The company also said its platform is designed to provide a consistent payment experience across physical and digital channels as consumers increasingly shift to cashless transactions.
