Converge tops SpeedGeo PH broadband speed ranking for Oct.-Sept.

Converge ICT Solutions recorded the fastest average broadband download speed in the Philippines in SpeedGeo’s latest ranking, ahead of PLDT and Globe.

The SpeedGeo Broadband Network Report, covering Oct. 1, 2025 to Sept. 30, 2026, showed Converge with an average download speed of 138.1 Mbps. PLDT followed at 116.9 Mbps, while Globe posted 112.2 Mbps. The overall market average was 108.3 Mbps.

Converge also registered an average upload speed of 125.7 Mbps and latency of 28.8 milliseconds. PLDT recorded 110.4 Mbps upload speeds and 26.1 ms latency, while Globe posted 91.8 Mbps and 34.4 ms, respectively.

SpeedGeo said the ranking was based on 536,106 tests conducted across fixed and mobile broadband connections using cable or Wi-Fi. Providers were ranked according to average download speed, from highest to lowest.

The report said its broadband category includes tests conducted on fixed and mobile networks, including fixed wireless and mobile broadband connections accessed through routers or USB modems.

SpeedGeo said operators must account for more than 3% of tests in a particular category and location during a quarter to qualify for its rankings.

It also said measurements undergo integrity checks designed to detect and remove fraudulent results, while redundant measurements from individual users are averaged to prevent a single user from disproportionately affecting the results.

“Converge ranked first in Philippines’s SpeedGeo Broadband Internet Speed Ranking for the period from 01.10.2025 to 30.09.2026,” the report said.

SpeedGeo is owned by V-Speed, which said its measurement methodology is consistent with the ITU-T Q.3960 recommendation, although implementation varies depending on the platform and technical capabilities.
