PH Startup Week to connect founders with investors in QC

Startup founders will meet with venture capital firms, technology companies, and potential business partners at Philippine Startup Week (PSW) 2026, scheduled for November 9 to 12 at the Quezon City MICE Center.

Now in its eighth edition, the event will feature discussions on artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, business automation, digital transformation, and the commercialization of Filipino innovations.

Venture capital firms Gobi Partners, Foxmont Capital Partners, and Kickstart Ventures are scheduled to participate in the Investors’ Stage, where founders can discuss funding and business expansion.

Participating companies include broadband provider Converge ICT Solutions, education technology company Wela School Systems, digital tax platform Taxumo, retail technology startup Packworks, and digital identity technology company Twala.

The event is organized by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and the Quezon City government through Startup QC.

Its theme is “Beyond Borders: Filipino Startups Navigating Our Future.”

Quezon City mayor Joy Belmonte and DICT undersecretary Leandro Angelo Aguirre led a preparatory meeting ahead of the gathering.

The program has five tracks — Discover, Collaborate, Develop, Showcase, and Invest — covering discussions, networking activities, startup presentations, and meetings with potential investors and business partners.

PSW will also host IGNITE X 2026 on November 10. The 10th edition of TechShake’s innovation conference will bring together technology executives, investors, and startup organizations from the Philippines, Japan, and other Southeast Asian markets.

Supporters of the conference include Japan Exchange Group, UNI-President Information Philippines Corp., Cyber Security Cloud, and GarageBank.

Other community partners include PLDT Enterprise, Foxmont Capital Partners, QBO Innovation, the British Chamber of Commerce Philippines, ERIA, Startup Island Taiwan, and Taipei Entrepreneurs Hub.

The gathering seeks to help local startups secure financing, commercialize their products and services, and enter new markets.

It supports the goals of Republic Act 11337, or the Innovative Startup Act, which provides a framework for government assistance to qualified startups through grants, subsidies, training, research and development support, and other incentives.
