The Technology Application and Promotion Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-TAPI) has launched the System for Intellectual Property Applications and Grants (SIPAG), which aims to track IP applications and help in the prosecution of IP violations.
MedCheck founder and CEO Amiel Herrera said modern technology has allowed physicians to do away with "trial-and-error" technique in their medical diagnosis and treating potentially terminal diseases.
Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian said the liability of lending firms should not only be administrative as some of the acts committed against financial consumers already constitute criminal accountability such as infringement of data privacy and cyber harassment.

The new multi-million facility is operated by Beeinfotech PH, which is being led by industry veteran Reynaldo Huergas, who previously headed data center firm IP Converge before it was bought by PLDT.
