The government said the National Business One-Stop Shop (NBOSS) and the Central Business Portal that was developed by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) will improve the processing of business permits from 13 steps in 33 days to nine steps in seven days.
The NTC said it has issued an order granting provisional authority to Newsnet, a company owned by businessman Mel Velarde, to operate pay-television and multi-media services in South Luzon, North Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The Central Business Portal, which will be fully operational by February 14 next year, covers business transactions under the SEC, but is envisioned to also cover the DTI and even the BIR.
The LTFRB on Thursday said it is set to release 1,130 CPCs to TNVS applicants within the next two weeks, following an order from the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) for it to automatically approve all valid TNVS applications.
