Vitro Inc., the data center arm of telco giant PLDT, also announced that its flagship data center Vitro Sta. Rosa in Laguna is now open for business with a similar facility expected to be erected soon within the Southern Luzon area.

ePLDT, the ICT subsidiary of PLDT, has officially established VITRO Inc. to serve as its dedicated data center operations company to the address the demands of hyperscalers and enterprises.

The partnership aims to support Philippine organizations in achieving both digital transformation and end-to-end cloud security coverage.

The facility’s new capacity will be ready by March 2023 to accommodate surging data center demand in the country.

ePLDT Vitro’s 11th data center — Vitro Sta. Rosa — will rise in what is said to be the country’s largest DC campus by far -- a five-hectare PLDT property in the industrial city of Sta. Rosa.

With an area of roughly 250 square meter and has a shared conference room, the Vitro Cebu 2 facility offers both dedicated or shared seats options.
