The Land Transportation Office (LTO) said it is set to formally launch its Land Transportation Management System (LTMS) which will automate various transactions being performed by the agency.
Initially, the LTO waived the penalties for licenses which expired due to the system glitch. But on Tuesday, January 9, the agency made an announcement that it was ?now accepting manual hard copies of medical certificates issued in lieu of the electronic submission until further notice.?
The LTO said it is preparing for the implementation of online payment of initial registration fees for three years of new motor vehicles and motorcycles in Luzon next month and to the rest of the country by the end of the year.
The LTO has designated its district offices in Marikina, Pasig, Novaliches and Muntinlupa Extension Office as pilot sites that will accept online scheduling. However, it is also available through its website.
