Launched locally last July 11, GoDaddy’s new Website Builder combines a mobile-optimized website capability and an integrated set of online marketing and e-commerce tools to help micro, small, and medium (MSMEs) go online and immediately drive traffic to their websites.

With support for more than 1,500 business ideas or industries — from real estate service providers to hairstylists — and its intuitive user interface, small business owners and entrepreneurs in the Philippines can simply type in their sector and Website Builder’s smart learning system will do the rest.

Besides producing a near-complete website, pre-filled with relevant sections and professional images, these features and elements are fully-optimized for mobile devices as well as desktops.

When it designed its new Website builder, GoDaddy placed emphasis on mobile, recognizing the 88 percent adoption rate of cellphones in the Philippines, Blake Irving, its CEO and director, said.

As a result, the offering is fully responsive on phones, tablets, and of course computers.

“GoDaddy’s new Website Builder is fundamentally changing the approach to website creation and is helping customers get noticed, reach larger audiences, and grow their businesses,” Roger Chen, vice president of GoDaddy Asia, said in a press statement.

“This new approach is unique as it helps customers reach their audiences and drive real business results and customer insights, all from the convenience of their mobile phone. With GoDaddy’s new Website Builder, small businesses in the Philippines can create powerful online identities that help them thrive,” added Chen.

For his part, Irving said that Asia remains “a big market for us.” “It is sustainable business for us because it continues to post an average of 20 percent growth while our company registers a 7-percent growth,” he said.

Key features of the new Website Builder include:

• Mobile Editor: The new Website Builder’s mobile editor enables users to easily build and update their websites on the go. Whether it’s customizing their site designs, uploading new photos from their phone or adding special events or holiday hours, customers can easily keep their site fresh — without downloading another mobile app.

• GoDaddy’s smart learning system: The smart learning system surfaces insights and actions for the users to help them achieve their goals. For instance, upon logging in, customers receive engagement and activity updates to improve results in a dashboard view. Further advice for attaching their website to a social network will be shared to help amplify their online presence and reach more audiences to help drive real results.

• Integrated marketing solutions: The new Website Builder with integrated marketing features enables small businesses to quickly improve their Google search rankings and help jumpstart email marketing campaigns. This means even those with no email marketing experience can powerfully engage with both existing and potential customers.

• Social media integration: Social integration allows users to link their website to Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms, integrating social media capabilities into their marketing campaigns.
