With the confidence borne from faith in their hard work, the seventh batch of technopreneurs nurtured by local incubator IdeaSpace presented their start-ups in at IdeaSpace Demo Day held on Tuesday, October 22, in Makati City.
“Things just keep getting better every year. Next year, we’re going to get even better,” said IdeaSpace executive director Diane Eustaquio.
The IdeaSpace Acceleration Program provides technopreneurs with funding, education, and mentoring that turns their business ideas into reality. Demo Day, on the other hand, is the culminating event where the entrepreneurs who complete this program showcase their start-ups.
This year, IdeaSpace nurtured 12 startups in its Acceleration Program:
Besides the innovative products and services offered by IdeaSpace’s newest entrepreneurs, Eustaquio also announced at the end of the event that its incubation program will now be backed by the Google Launchpad, the tech giant’s global startup initiative.
“So you have right here — in the digital economy — the future of the country. The future is in entrepreneurship, the future is in digital, the future is in tech,” said Samuel Jeanblanc, market lead for Google Philippines.
“Imagine if next year you will have access to Google technology, Google mentors, and Google advice.” Jeanblanc stated. “So we are really, really happy to be supporting all of you starting from next year.”
