Matt Mullenweg, co-founder of the blogging and content management tool WordPress, is visiting the Philippines to take part in a WordPress Community Meet-up.
Globe Telecom is partnering with the local WordPress Community to co-host the event, which will be held June 9 in the Globe Towers in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.
Mullenweg is expected to share his insights about Web technology and the success behind the development of the open-source blogging platform.
Mullenweg?s Philippine visit is part of a two-week tour in Asia that begins in Seoul on June 1, to be followed by Indonesia on June 2, Singapore on June 4, Japan on June 6-8, Australia on June 12-16, and New Zealand on June 17-18.
He is the co-founder of WordPress and the founder and CEO of Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com and Jetpack. Mullenweg got his start in technology working at CNET Networks as a senior product manager.
