Easy Taxi said the promo is applicable to all subscribers from all networks, both in Manila and Cebu where it has 3,000 taxi units and 1,000 units, respectively.

Easy Taxi users can now book a cab and track it anywhere in the metro through using the mobile application, and only pay the metered bill.

Prior to boarding a taxi, the passenger is provided with the designated driver’s information such as his name, license plate, and contact details. The information can then be shared to friends and loved ones — giving the passenger the assurance of a safe riding experience.

In case of valuables accidentally left in the taxi, the likelihood of retrieving said items are high as Easy Taxi may contact the driver as well in the customer’s behalf.

Easy Taxi is part of the Asia Pacific Internet Group (APIG), which supports some of the top Internet companies in the region. APIG’s network currently consists of 10 companies, which are operating in 15 countries. Just recently, Easy Taxi has raised $40 million in its fourth round of funding, in order to make its service more widely available.

Serving over 10 million users worldwide, with as much as 185 thousand registered drivers, Easy Taxi is available in 4 continents, 34 countries, and in more than 162 cities, while growing at a global rate of three cities per month.
