Indonesia-based technology infrastructure solutions provider Computrade Technology International (CTI Group) has widened the mandate of its local subsidiary Computrade Technology Philippines (CTP) to support the company?s growth in the Southeast Asia (SEA) region.
CTI Group executives led by its chief executive officer, Harry Surjanto, formally announced the appointment of CTP on Tuesday, October 28, as a value-added distributor of tech vendors Thales, FireEye, Zscaler, Riverbed, and Dell.
The appointment also allows local resellers to expand their market in the SEA region through CTI?s network.
CTP managing director Teddy Sumulong said the appointment firms up CTI’s commitment to serve resellers in the Philippines that began in 2013.
He said CTP’s strategy for its resellers towards sustainable business models is aligned with the rising need and growth in cloud, analytics, mobility, and social.
“We understand that resellers and its customers need IT systems to be simple, as well as a technology provider that can provide end-to-end support,” Sumulong said.
“Our key differentiator is our industry expertise. From our standpoint as IT distributor, it’s very rare that you understand really how industries work, how decisions are made, the trends and all the pain points,” Sumulong said.
“The products we distribute are of very high value. And you really need to articulate the products for the customer to understand,” he said
Sumulong added that besides the top three largest industries for IT — telecoms, banking, and government — CTP is eyeing to cater to other industries like hospitality, business process outsourcing, retail, including gaming, and other market segments.
