IT services provider Delaware Consulting, which is headquartered in Belgium, announced on Tuesday, Dec. 2, that it has opened an office in the Philippines.

The opening, which took place exactly three years after opening a branch in Singapore, confirms Delaware?s intention to keep expanding its business across the globe.

Delaware Consulting said the new office will fuel its growth in the whole of Asia Pacific and allow it to provide its growing Asia Pacific customer base with high-end consulting services.

Inaugurated at the end of 2011, the Delaware Consulting branch in Singapore marked the company?s first presence in Southeast Asia. Delaware Consulting Singapore provides information management solutions to customers active in the insurance, oil and gas, marine, and telecom industries.

The company said the new Philippine office, which is located along Ayala Avenue in Makati City, is a logical next step to support the client base in Southeast Asia and in the larger area of Asia Pacific ? a region where the economy is expected to expand significantly.

As the Philippines has a large pool of highly skilled, educated people, the Manila office will allow a quick ramp-up of Delaware Consulting?s staff, it said.

The team will support Delaware?s many existing Southeast Asian customers from an operational perspective, delivering managed services for information management solutions, among other products.

Besides offering software solutions based on Microsoft and SAP technology, Delaware Consulting has been working closely with OpenText since 2008.

OpenText solutions make up a large part of Delaware?s business in the Southeast Asian market: a large part of the team in Singapore ? and soon also in the Philippines — helps customers implement information management solutions for invoicing and document management, among other things.
