Globe Business, the corporate ICT arm of Globe Telecom, has disclosed that local tech firms MDI and Novare Technologies, both led by IT entrepreneur Myla Villanueva, have signed up for the use of over 200 Google Apps licenses for its employees.
MDI and Novare Technologies, which specialize in enterprise and mobility solutions specific to financial institutions, telecommunications, and retail, will use Google Apps to manage their client base with a set of cloud-based communication and collaboration tools.
They will also use consumer technology like Gmail and Google+ Hangouts at work. The service allows employees to create, share, and work on files with the whole team in real-time with Google Docs, Sheets and Slides and store them all in the cloud with Google Drive.
Globe IT-enabled services group vice president Rey Lugtu said, ?Google Apps has been one of the most sought-after solutions that we offer given the ease and efficiency it brings to companies. Now that MDI and Novare have Google Apps, employees will be able to proficiently manage their work and even promote collaboration among their teams.?
With data migration capabilities for all common legacy systems included in the telco?s deployment services, companies can transition quickly with minimal disruption. There are also hundreds of applications in the Google Apps Marketplace — from accounting software to project management tools.
