Last April 17, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge were launched in simultaneous events at the Mega Fashion Hall at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City, the Ayala Center Cebu, and SM Davao.
?The positive response of Filipino customers to the completely redesigned Samsung Galaxy smartphones has truly been overwhelming. What started out as a vision has finally come true, and we at Samsung are very excited for everyone to experience the future of smartphone mobility?, said Digs Dimagiba, Samsung?s business unit head for IT and mobile business.
?We share this very important milestone to all the people who have been behind this innovation and, of course, to all those who believed that the future is here with the arrival of the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge.?
The #NextisNow era unfolded as Samsung held the two-day consumer launch event from April 17 to 18 to offer the newest Galaxy smartphones to all the Filipino consumers.
Galaxy S6 and S6 edge buyers at the kick-off event were entitled to special offers including a free wireless charger worth P2,099 and free extended 2-year warranty.
As a reward to the early comers, Samsung gave a huge discount to all the consumers who arrived between 10:00AM to 12:00PM of April 18. All early birds received P3,000 off their purchase.
Furthermore, Samsung?s telecommunication partners, Globe and Smart, also participated at the event as they accepted pre-registrations of those who applied for Galaxy S6 and S6 edge postpaid plans.
To further celebrate Samsung?s reimagined design philosophy, the brand collaborated with masters of Filipino art and fashion. It featured timeless creations of world renowned glass sculptor Ramon Orlina, one of the leading jewelers in the industry, Marilou Co, of Marilou Jewellery, and highly acclaimed members of the Fashion and Design Council of the Philippines (FDCP) headed by its six ambassadors, Anthony Nocom, Randy Ortiz, JC Buendia, Lulu Tan-Gan, Amina Aranaz-Alunan, Malou Araneta-Romero.
The creations of Orlina and Co captured the interplay of metal and glass. Orlina showcased five unique glass sculptor pieces inspired by the curved glass of the Galaxy S6 edge and the colors of the Galaxy S6 smartphones while Co revealed her sixty breathtaking pieces of diamond encrusted, 18K white and yellow-gold phone case custom-made for the S6 edge.
The collections of dresses and accessories by the FDCP designers were inspired by the colorful jewel tone colors of the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge: Blue Topaz, White Pearl, Green Emerald, Gold Platinum, and Black Sapphire.
