PNoy opens new Pasig office of top PH software firm

President Benigno S. Aquino III on Tuesday, Nov. 24, led the inauguration of a new facility of Pointwest Technologies Corporation, one of the leading software companies in the country.

Pointwest Digital Center, located at the Rockwell Business Center in Ortigas, Pasig City will house the company?s digital services, including mobile application development, cloud computing and data analytics, and digital products.

Aquino, in his speech during the inauguration, cited the company for its vast contribution in the country?s economy and also in its effort in providing more than one million jobs since 2014.

The president also cited the company who was responsible for developing the Arko weather and flood monitoring mobile app of Project Noah under the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).

The chief executive also shared the governments? efforts like providing training for possible employees of the IT industry.

Pointwest, a 100-percent Filipino-owned IT company, provides software and non-voice services to Fortune 100 companies in the US and a growing number of companies in the Philippines, New Zealand, and Australia.

The software firm focuses on the mid-market and large enterprises and has extensive experience in transportation and logistics, healthcare, banking and finance, retail, energy, media and entertainment. — PIA
