Dubbed ?IoT: The Pinnacle of Digital?, this year?s summit will be held at the SMX Convention Center at SM Aura Premier on June 29, taking the digital workplace and the Internet of Things (IoT) to center stage.

The summit aims to teach businesses, big and small alike, how to turn their companies into a digitally empowered workplace and to help them harness the benefits to day-to-day operations, employee engagement, and the bottom line.

According to IPC president Reynaldo R. Huergas, ?By now, every businessman must have realized how a digitally connected workplace translates to better performance and higher engagement across the organization. Real-time access to vital information is necessary when making mission-critical decisions. By embracing digital, the Philippine business sector has the potential to flourish faster and uplift the economy, in line with our country being dubbed as Asia?s Rising Tiger.?

Participants of the summit will gain the opportunity to listen to over 10 local and global thought leaders share their insights on the current state of technology in the business arena.

With the availability of various digital means to gather customer data and boost workplace productivity, opportunities to drive demand quickly, even for niche products and services, are within grasp.

Leading the speaker lineup are King-Yew Foong, research VP and chief of research for communications service providers at analyst firm Gartner, and Kenneth Siow, head of strategic sales and business development for Asia at Google.

Other speakers will be from CloudSigma, Nexusguard, Imperva Incapsula, CR8V Web Services, Salesforce, Bluecloud Australia, Smart Communications, and PayMaya. Each will tackle various aspects of enterprise IT, focusing on infrastructure and security, workplace productivity, and business mobility.

The event also marks a significant milestone in Philippine cloud computing with the launch of the Cloud Community of the Philippines (CloudComPH), a vendor-agnostic community that will serve as a venue for the sharing of ideas and best practices, whether technical or operational, among individuals who build, develop, maintain and use cloud computing infrastructure, platforms, and applications in the country.

According to Huergas, the community aims to work hand in hand with the industry and the government, particularly the soon-to-be-formed Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to encourage organizations to achieve goals through cloud computing.

?It is definitely time for Filipino companies to maximize their growth potential via today?s array of digital tools and solutions. This is one of the reasons behind our continued effort in sharing our knowledge with the industry ? because IPC?s mission is to empower enterprises to succeed through best-in-class cloud and managed data solutions,? Huergas concluded.

The event is free to attend but only a limited number of seats are available. Interested participants are encouraged to register at: www.phcloudsummit.com.

Event sponsors include Midas Ventana and CommVerge Solutions, while Newsbytes.PH is the official media partner.
