Star Telecom Alliance Resources Inc. (Star Inc.), the parent company of local tech brand Starmobile, announced on Monday, Aug. 8, that it has struck a distribution agreement with Chinese networking equipment maker TP-Link.
According to Star Inc. chief operating officer Jerry Manus, the company will soon provide network devices such as routers, APs, and switches in partnership with systems integrators (SIs) nationwide.
Coinciding with its fifth year of operations, this will be the company?s first step in expanding its business beyond smartphones and tablets and into providing connectivity solutions to home, SME, and enterprise clients.
?The growth of these sectors and the rise of a young and tech-savvy middle class have increased the demand for dependable connectivity solutions,? said Manus. ?With Star Inc. being one of the country?s leading Filipino technology brands, we are more than equipped to respond to this need.?
For his part, TP-Link country manager Sidney Zheng commented: ?With their expertise in retail and product management, we are confident that we will be able to expand our presence in the Philippines?
As a nationwide distributor, the company will be able to offer the full range of TP-Link products and solutions to various customers, from up-and-coming establishments who want to offer Wi-Fi to their customers, to large scale projects like business process outsourcing companies (BPOs) and real estate developments.
