Mobile app from DA allows farmers to gain access to services

To facilitate dissemination of information to farmers and to shorten response time, Department of Agriculture (DA) secretary Emmanuel F. Pi?ol launched the “FarmHelp” mobile application at the DA Central Office.

“For so long, technology has been deprived from our farmers,” Pi?ol said during the launch on Oct. 11.

He said the mobile app will enable farmers to easily access services from the department, resulting to improved production and income.

National Scientist Teodulo Topacio Jr., Dr. Eulalio Lorenzo, chairman and CEO of Excellence Group of Companies, and some DA officials witnessed the launching of the app, which is now downloadable for iOS and Android platforms.

Pure Force, the team behind the national emergency hotline application, developed FarmHelp.
