DOLE?s job portal links up with local education website

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and local website have forged a tie-up to provide jobseekers the opportunities to find scholarship grants and preferred jobs with employers.

“We have always been keen on finding ways to provide more job opportunities for the Filipino and we believe that one way of making this possible is by means of the Internet and social media,? said DOLE secretary Silvestre H. Bello III following the signing of a memorandum of agreement between DOLE and, owned by Engadin Corporation, is an online education site in the Philippines which bridges information gap between scholarship providers, higher education opportunities, and other industries that needs an online one-stop-shop for all courses, scholarships, and other educational opportunities available for Filipinos.

Bello said that through the MOA, PhilJobNet will have a cross-link of in its website that will enable netizens to immediately connect to relevant technical vocational schools, graduate schools, and other educational resources at its “Search Jobs Page.”

PhilJob.Net is the Philippine government’s official web-based labor market information, job search, and job matching portal.

According to the MOA, will provide a cross linking facility for the PhiljobNet registered users within its own website to view details of job vacancies posted by the employers and other career resources at the “Career Conversation Page” and at “Employment Partners” section without any cost on the part of the jobseekers.
