BPO firm Alorica announced it is targeting to hire 10,000 local employees as it opened on Monday, March 13, its new 12-storey facility dubbed ?The Alorica Center? in Makati City.
The state-of-the-art 58,000-square-foot property features cubicle-free work spaces for the company?s growing workforce in the Philippines, which now totals more than 35,000 team members.
Alorica now operates 12 locations in Metro Manila and five sites in the cities of Clark, Lipa, Cebu, Laoag, and Davao.
?After acquiring a competitor and integrating them into their business, most companies don?t experience immediate growth. That?s not our case,? said Bong Borja, Asia Region president for Alorica, referring to the company?s buyout of Expert Global Solutions (EGS) last year.
?Alorica has been earning more business from our clients, and adding new clients. To meet the increased demand for our customer engagement experts, we need to expand rapidly here in the Philippines,? said Borja.
The veteran BPO executive emphasized that 70% of the company?s supervisors, managers, directors, and vice presidents began their careers with Alorica in customer engagement roles.
?As a people-centric business, we invest heavily in training every team member and developing the future leaders of our business right here in the Philippines,? he said.
Headquartered in Irvine, California, Alorica is expanding its global workforce, which is located in 150 locations on five continents in 16 countries.
To address the needs and expectations of the evolving workforce, the company said it built The Alorica Center with open and collaborative work spaces.
?We?re providing inspiring workplace, modern furnishings, advanced technology platforms, community gathering spaces and fun and comfortable facilities with many amenities,? Borja said.
For new facility features modernized staff workspaces, applicant and employee lounges, collaboration areas, training rooms, interview and conference rooms, and recreational spaces such as a fitness gym, a cafeteria with various food options, full-service clinic, huddle areas, sleeping quarters, and parking.
It also has expansive glass walls and perimeter open spaces that bring ample natural light, afford beautiful city views, and encourage socialization.
The center is being leased by Alorica from real estate property developer Majalco Inc. and real estate brokerage firm Leechiu Property Consultants.
