Sony Mobile Philippines introduced in the country on Tuesday, May 23, the Xperia XZ Premium as a front-act to three more smartphones the company is releasing this year.
For the first time in smartphone history, a 4K High Dynamic Range (HDR) 2160 x 3840 screen will be used in Xperia XZ Premium?s 5.5-inch display, sharing with Sony?s BRAVIA TV technology. Aside from the vibrant screen, it also takes camera videography with 960 frames-per-second recording and Predictive Capture that detects motions before you even tap the shutter.
The 5.5-inch smartphone is protected by IP65/68 and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 in the front and back of the handset, which means the XZ Premium can resist water and dust to preserve the Deep Sea Black, Bronze Pink, and Luminous Chrome colors.
Completing the Mobile World Congress promises of Sony, the mobile division of the company also revealed the ?super mid-ranger? Xperia XA1 Ultra, a 6-inch borderless smartphone carrying a 23-megapixel rear camera, the Xperia XZs, and Xperia XA1.
Local prices of the roster are as follows:
- Xperia XZ Premium ? P45,490
- Xperia XZs ? P39,990
- Xperia XA1 ? P14,990
Consumers who will pre-order the Xperia XZ Premium from June 1 to 18 in Sony Centres and Sony Mobile Stores nationwide will also get a free Sony Wireless Bluetooth speaker worth P4,999. Sony outlets will also offer 12-month installment with 0% interest.
