Japanese camera maker Canon recently introduced the latest addition to its Cinema EOS System — the EOS C200 digital cinema camera.
The EOS C200 is capable of recording 4K video in MP4 format and in the new Cinema RAW Light. It is meant to cover larger scope in video productions such as movies, TV shows, advertisements, and more.
?We see today a lot of Filipinos who are getting into the business of cinematography. We see how hobbies of shooting moving images are turning into purposeful expression of creativity in the movie, TV, advertising, and event videography industries,? said Benny Yu, consumer group head of Canon Marketing Philippines.
?That is why our newest EOS C200 comes in at a perfect time as it brings in great features that will help cinematographers deliver powerful materials with much more efficiency.?
The EOS C200 is equipped with the newly-developed Dual DIGIC DV 6 image processing platform for 4K video recording to CFast cards using the new Cinema RAW Light video format, retaining the same amount of video information when color grading a Cinema RAW.
Equipped with the LM-V1 touch-panel LCD monitor, users can intuitively select the subject they wish to focus on with simple touch operation. The Dual Pixel CMOS AF also enables superb tracking and smooth autofocus ideal for video capture.
Additionally, it delivers a maximum of 15-stop equivalent wide dynamic range for 4K HDR video recording in Cinema RAW Light format, and a maximum 13-stop equivalent in MP4 format that employs Canon?s proprietary Log gammas.
The EOS C200 will be shipped in August 2017.
