The latest addition to Sitel?s Philippine operations opened up 1,000 new jobs for the people of Puerto Princesa and Palawan province.

The Puerto Princesa facility comes shortly after the global announcement about the successful merger of the Acticall Sitel Group ? the resulting entity after Groupe Acticall acquired Sitel Worldwide Corporation last year.

In the Philippines, Sitel has enjoyed steady growth since it started operations in 2000. The Philippines? business-friendly climate, in particular, its pool of highly skilled talent with a strong customer orientation have enabled Sitel to expand the business at a strong and steady clip.

?We at Sitel deeply appreciate the support and the partnership that we have received from the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) over the years. Setting up centers in the provinces has been seamless and worry-free, thanks to the dedication and support of PEZA under the able leadership of director-general Charito Plaza,? Sitel has set its sights on countryside development launching additional customer care centers in Baguio and in greenfield sites such as Tarlac and Puerto Princesa cities. All Sitel facilities are PEZA-registered.

?Our newest facility marks another milestone in our regional expansion plans and our advocacy to bring jobs and opportunities to the countryside,? said Reines. ?We are delighted to open our doors in Palawan. We are here to offer world-class careers to Palawe?os and become a major contributor to the socio-economic development of this region.”
