PSA unveils CBMS portal, Tuklas e-learning platform

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has launched the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Portal and the PSA Tuklas e-Learning Platform to expand access to local data and promote statistical literacy.

The CBMS Portal serves as a centralized online platform for presenting and sharing community-level statistics generated through the CBMS.

It allows users to view interactive maps, analyze data trends, and access indicators aligned with the localized Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The PSA said the portal is intended to help national agencies, local government units, and academic institutions use CBMS-derived data for planning, targeting, and research.

Upcoming updates to the portal will include CBMS Studio, a data visualization feature, and expanded access to city, municipal, and barangay-level socioeconomic data.

Alongside the CBMS Portal, the PSA also introduced the Tuklas e-Learning Platform — short for Training and Up-Skilling for Knowledge, Leadership, and Advanced Skills — which offers self-paced online courses on topics such as CBMS, thematic mapping, industry classification, SDG localization, and data privacy.

The platform is designed for open registration and allows users to monitor their progress through interactive lessons and assessments. Additional courses are expected to be added in the future.

According to the PSA, both initiatives aim to make local data more accessible and to provide stakeholders with resources for evidence-based policymaking and capacity building.
