Bitget unveils Web3 book for youth using cooking analogies

Eliezer Rabadon, CEO of DVCode, introduces Code Like a Cook, an educational book on blockchain technology that uses cooking-based analogies (1)

Titled “Programming4Youth: Code Like a Cook,” the book uses cooking as a framework to explain Web3 and programming basics, translating technical concepts into more accessible terms.

Ingredients are likened to pieces of code, recipes to algorithms, and cooking to the execution of programs, while “plating” represents deploying applications.

The initiative is part of Bitget’s Blockchain4Youth and Blockchain4Her programs and was developed in collaboration with GANAP with Eli.

It comes amid growing global interest in blockchain technology and the need for more approachable learning materials for beginners.

“Learning to build should not feel inaccessible from the start,” said Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget.

“The goal is to make the first step easier to take. When concepts are explained in a way that feels familiar, more people are willing to try, and that’s the aim with Code Like a Cook. We want to help beginners move from learning to creating.”

The book walks readers through foundational topics such as Web3 concepts, programming languages, and the use of tools like Remix IDE and MetaMask.

It also includes a hands-on component where learners build a simple “Tip Jar” decentralized application, allowing them to write and deploy a smart contract and test it on a blockchain testnet.

Initial distribution of the book will begin in the Philippines, with a broader global rollout planned.
