Anker unveils AI-focused soundcore Liberty 5 Pro Series

Anker’s premium audio brand soundcore has introduced its new Liberty 5 Pro Series earbuds in the Philippines, highlighting artificial intelligence-powered audio and productivity features as competition intensifies in the premium true wireless stereo (TWS) market.

Launched during the Anker Day Philippines event on May 23 in Makati City, the lineup includes the Liberty 5 Pro and the higher-end Liberty 5 Pro Max, both positioned as AI-enabled earbuds designed for communication, noise cancellation, and personalized audio experiences.

According to the company, the new earbuds are powered by “Thus,” a neural-network AI chip platform unveiled globally in New York on May 21.

The platform uses a compute-in-memory (CIM) architecture that allows AI computation directly within NOR Flash memory, reducing data transfers between memory and processors.

Anker described the architecture as “a monumental leap in the efficiency of consumer AI hardware.”

The Liberty 5 Pro Series features a 10-sensor fusion system combining eight MEMS microphones and two bone conduction sensors designed to improve voice isolation by filtering environmental noise in real time.

The company said the earbuds received a Guinness World Records recognition for achieving the “Highest Speech Quality Score” in objective testing.

The devices also come with Adaptive ANC 4.0, a noise cancellation system that monitors external sound at up to 384,000 samples per second and dynamically adjusts noise reduction levels depending on the environment.

Both models include HearID 5.0, an AI-based sound personalization platform that adjusts audio settings according to user hearing sensitivity and listening preferences.

The earbuds also support AI Sound Enhancement technology aimed at recovering audio details lost during wireless compression.

The Liberty 5 Pro

The standard Liberty 5 Pro includes voice controls for music playback, calls, and volume adjustments, as well as a smart touch display integrated into the charging case for managing settings without using a smartphone.

The device is now available in Anker affiliate stores with a starting price of P9,995.

Meanwhile, the Liberty 5 Pro Max adds productivity-oriented functions, including what the company described as AI-powered note-taking features capable of recording conversations, generating real-time transcriptions, identifying speakers, and creating summaries through the soundcore ecosystem.

The Pro Max charging case features a 1.78-inch AMOLED touchscreen powered by the VibeOS DT system, allowing users to manage playback, noise cancellation, and recording features directly from the case.

The Liberty 5 Pro Max

The Liberty 5 Pro Max is priced starting at P12,995. Purchases made until June 23 will include a 24-month extended warranty, according to the company.
