GoTyme Bank unveils crypto trading feature with 11 digital assets

GoTyme Bank has officially entered the cryptocurrency space with the nationwide launch of Go Crypto, a new in-app feature that allows users to buy, sell, and manage digital assets directly through the GoTyme mobile banking platform.

The feature supports 11 cryptocurrencies — including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and Ripple — offering Filipinos a way to invest in virtual assets without registering on external exchanges.

All transactions are conducted within GoTyme’s closed-loop ecosystem, which the bank says improves account security and simplifies the user experience.

“Go Crypto is about expanding the investing horizon for Filipinos in a way that’s secure, simple, and built on trust,” said GoTyme Bank president and CEO Nathaniel Clarke.

He added that many consumers still see cryptocurrency as complex or inaccessible, and the bank aims to address that by leveraging the same infrastructure that powers its regulated banking services.

GoTyme Bank is licensed by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP), placing the service under regulatory oversight.

Each listed cryptocurrency undergoes bank-level due diligence before being offered to customers, the bank said.

The launch forms part of GoTyme’s broader push to expand investment options in the Philippines. Through Go Crypto, users gain access to instant fiat-to-crypto transfers, risk-profiling tools, real-time market data, transparent pricing, and a dedicated crypto account for portfolio tracking.

The bank emphasized that cryptocurrency investments remain volatile and carry significant risk, and that virtual assets are not insured by the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation.
