JBL holds 3rd Golf Cup, gathers media and industry partners

Audio brand JBL staged the 3rd JBL Golf Cup on Feb. 13, at The Orchard Golf and Country Club, bringing together members of the media, distributors, dealers, and guests for a daylong golf tournament and networking event.

The event opened with a ceremonial tee-off led by several industry figures, including Harman Philippines country head Larry Secreto, highlighting the continuing partnerships behind the annual tournament.

Organizers said the competition drew a mix of experienced golfers and amateurs who played across the Orchard’s course in what was described as a friendly but competitive field.

Winners were named across multiple divisions covering media and guest categories, as well as a ladies division and special awards such as low gross, longest drive, most accurate shot, and nearest to the pin.

No player recorded a hole-in-one at Hole No. 16, where a Triumph Speed 400 motorcycle had been staked as the top prize. The motorcycle was instead raffled off and won by Edwin Rollon from Manila Standard, while other attendees received raffle items that included consumer electronics and golf merchandise.

JBL also integrated its products into the event, placing portable speakers around the course and distributing JBL Grip devices to participants.

“We are proud to see how the JBL Golf Cup continues to grow each year. It’s more than a tournament — it’s a meaningful touchpoint for our partners and a reflection of the premium experiences that JBL stands for,” said Secreto.

The company said it intends to continue holding the tournament as part of its partner engagement activities tied to lifestyle marketing and brand visibility.
