PhilWeb Corporation and FBM have signed a service agreement that will introduce online capabilities into more than 500 gambling venues nationwide, marking a shift in how digital and physical gambling operations intersect in the Philippines.
The agreement, formalized on February 23, covers a planned technology rollout across FBM’s network of over 500 venues and approximately 30,000 machines. The initiative centers on an online-to-offline (O2O) model that embeds online-driven features directly into existing brick-and-mortar gambling locations.
Under the arrangement, PhilWeb will handle systems integration and regulatory support, allowing online functionality to operate within FBM’s physical infrastructure rather than through a standalone online platform.
PhilWeb president Brian Ng said the approach departs from the usual model of launching separate digital products that compete with land-based venues.
“Rather than launching a standalone online product, this collaboration allows us to help FBM build online capabilities that are deeply integrated into their existing machine and venue network. By embedding online functionality directly into physical venues, we can support FBM in driving engagement and revitalizing offline operations at scale,” Ng said.
FBM Philippines country manager Pepe Costa said the integration is intended to strengthen both online and offline operations.
“This partnership enables us to extend our online presence in a way that directly benefits our offline business. By deploying online-driven features across our machines and venues, we can offer a more engaging experience for players while creating stronger revenue opportunities for our partners nationwide,” Costa said.
FBM has operated in the Philippine e-bingo sector for two decades and maintains one of the country’s largest networks of electronic gambling venues. The companies said the integration will be implemented across FBM’s existing footprint, positioning physical venues as the primary access points for digitally enhanced gambling services.
