VST ECS Phils, Inc. has been appointed as the local distributor of US-based edge cloud platform provider Fastly,in a move aimed at expanding the availability of content delivery and cybersecurity solutions to local enterprises.
The partnership comes as companies face increasing pressure to handle higher volumes of digital traffic and respond to evolving cyber threats, including automated bot attacks and distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) incidents.
VST ECS said the addition of Fastly to its portfolio will allow it to offer edge-based services that process data closer to end users, which can help reduce latency and improve application performance.

Fastly’s platform combines content delivery, edge computing, and web and API protection in a single architecture. It is designed to support websites, mobile applications, and streaming services by improving load times, maintaining uptime during traffic spikes, and detecting threats in real time.
The company said its technology is used by global firms in sectors such as media, e-commerce, financial services, and technology.
