Ford Philippines has opened a dedicated electric vehicle training bay at its new learning center in Calamba City, Laguna, as the automaker prepares its dealer network to service electrified vehicles.
The EV bay is part of a 451-square-meter workshop designed to simulate the service environment of a Ford dealership. It will provide hands-on training in vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and certification for technicians and other dealer personnel.
The workshop has seven mechanical bays covering electric vehicles and conventional internal combustion engine models. Its equipment includes two-post and four-post lifts that can accommodate different vehicle types.
The EV facility is housed within Ford’s new 1,500-square-meter learning center, which replaces the company’s former 110-square-meter training area at the Don Bosco Technical Institute in Makati City.
“The opening of the Learning Center is not just about opening a new building; it is about building the future of Ford in the Philippines. It represents our strong commitment to this market — to our customers, our partners, and our people,” said Ford Philippines managing director Pedro Simoes.
“At Ford, we believe that great vehicles are only part of the ownership journey. What truly makes the difference is the experience — how we support, serve, and care for our customers every day.”
Aside from the service bays, the center has four classrooms with a combined capacity of more than 100 participants, a 195-square-meter reception and showroom area, meeting rooms, office spaces, and a cafeteria.
The showroom can accommodate a vehicle for product training and walkarounds involving dealer sales personnel and service advisers.
“As vehicle technologies rapidly evolve — from advanced connectivity to sophisticated safety features and electrified systems — our dealership teams must be equipped with the highest level of technical mastery, product knowledge, and customer-handling skills. We are confident that this Ford Learning Center can help standardize, elevate, and future-proof our operational capabilities,” said Pushparaj Muthusamy, director of Ford Customer Service Division at Ford Philippines.

Muthusamy recently assumed leadership of Ford’s local aftersales operations, succeeding Joyce Laxamana, who was appointed parts supply and logistics director for Ford ASEAN.
Ford said the center forms part of its broader aftersales expansion, following the opening of its parts distribution center in Laguna in 2024.
Its other service initiatives include online booking, mobile servicing, express service, a service-price calculator, and vehicle pickup and delivery.
