BYD Cars Philippines has expanded its new-energy vehicle lineup with the launch of the Atto 2 compact SUV and Seal 5 DM-i sedan, offering battery-electric and plug-in hybrid options at introductory prices starting below P1 million.
The BYD Atto 2 is available as a full battery-electric vehicle and as a plug-in hybrid powered by the company’s Super DM-i system.
The electric model has a claimed range of 380 kilometers and is equipped with a 12.8-inch touchscreen and Vehicle-to-Load capability, which allows its battery to power external electronic devices.
The Atto 2 DM-i, offered in Dynamic and Premium variants, can travel up to 45 kilometers on electric power alone. BYD said the model recorded a combined range of 1,340 kilometers during an efficiency run conducted with the Automobile Association of the Philippines.
All Atto 2 variants use BYD’s Blade Battery. The Premium plug-in hybrid variant also comes with the company’s DiPilot advanced driver-assistance system, while the DM-i models feature a 10.1-inch infotainment display with smartphone connectivity.
Introductory pricing for the Atto 2 DM-i starts at P1.048 million, while the battery-electric version starts at P1.338 million. The promotional prices are available until Aug. 31, 2026.
The Atto 2 comes with an eight-year warranty for the drive unit, a six-year or 160,000-kilometer vehicle warranty, and an eight-year or 160,000-kilometer warranty for the Blade Battery.

Meanwhile, the Seal 5 DM-i sedan is available in Essential and Dynamic variants and uses BYD’s fifth-generation Super DM-i plug-in hybrid technology.
The Essential variant carries a 7.42-kWh Blade Battery that provides up to 55 kilometers of electric-only range. The Dynamic variant has a larger 18.3-kWh battery and an electric range of up to 115 kilometers.
BYD said the Seal 5 DM-i achieved a combined driving range of as much as 2,181 kilometers during a separate efficiency run with the AAP.

Inside, the sedan has an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also includes automatic climate control, USB charging ports, and up to 1,295 liters of cargo capacity with the rear seats folded.
Safety equipment includes cruise control, a tire-pressure monitoring system, and rear parking sensors.
Prices for the Seal 5 DM-i start at P948,000, with introductory rates also valid until Aug. 31. The vehicle comes with an eight-year drive-unit warranty and additional warranty coverage for the vehicle and battery.
