The third Transformative AI Network (TRAIN) will hold a five-day regional program in SOCCSKSARGEN from October 26 to 30, bringing together businesses, government agencies, educators, and technology stakeholders to discuss artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation, and regional innovation.
The program will cover General Santos, Koronadal, and Kidapawan cities, with activities focusing on enterprise AI adoption, workforce development, digital government, cybersecurity, entrepreneurship, and responsible technology use.
The Philippine ICT Innovation Network (PIIN) and Digital Innovation for Women Advancement (DIWA) are convening the initiative with CATALIST ICT Inc., Cotabato’s ICT Council, the General Santos Chamber, and other institutional partners.
The province of Cotabato and the city governments of General Santos, Koronadal, and Kidapawan are supporting the program.
TRAIN follows previous editions in Bacolod and Isabela. Atty. Jocelle Batapa-Sigue, former undersecretary for ICT industry development and convenor of PIIN and DIWA, is leading the initiative.
The program opens in General Santos on October 26 with discussions on enterprise AI applications, investment readiness, talent development, and digital trust.
On October 27, business representatives and students will work on venture concepts addressing enterprise challenges. A DIWA-Mindanao women’s forum will also discuss mentoring, market opportunities, and business models that incorporate human oversight and digital safety.
The program moves to Koronadal on October 28, with sessions covering data-driven local government, digital payments in public services, creative industries, cybersecurity, and robotics.
Discussions will also examine workforce skills requirements and potential partnerships among educational institutions, businesses, and government agencies.
In Kidapawan on October 29, participants will focus on innovation ecosystem development, including workforce capacity, entrepreneurship, digital strategy, institutional collaboration, and resilience.
The final day on October 30 will bring together young people, educators, businesses, and public-sector representatives to discuss AI’s implications for education, employment, creativity, and public service. Sessions will also cover digital citizenship and responsible technology use.
Scheduled contributors include representatives and practitioners from Globe Telecom, FullSuite Pod, Jaythree Information Technology, Ignite Telecoms, Wadhwani Foundation, the Multi-Media Arts Council of the Philippines, and Custard Innovations Corp., along with specialists in education, training, and innovation.
The organizers said the program is intended to establish connections among regional stakeholders and identify areas for continued collaboration on AI adoption and digital development.
