Salesforce reports 21-fold rise in Agentforce Coworker usage

Salesforce said usage of its Agentforce Coworker artificial intelligence tool grew 21-fold in three months, with more than 185,000 users, as the company announced additional features and a $50-per-user monthly pricing option.

The expansion, announced on Nov. 5, includes connections to Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, reusable workflows, and conversation history. Integration with Microsoft Teams and new mobile and desktop apps are scheduled for general availability in November.

Agentforce Coworker allows employees to assign business tasks through a single interface. It uses Salesforce records and connected data to coordinate AI agents and workflows, then returns results and recommended actions for review.

For example, a salesperson investigating a customer renewal at risk of cancellation can use the tool to gather service records, identify unresolved cases, and prepare follow-up communications.

“The next era of enterprise AI isn’t about giving users more agents to manage,” said James Nakashima, senior vice president for product management at Salesforce.

“It’s about giving them one Coworker that brings the right agents together to get work done. What makes this powerful for Salesforce customers is that Coworker starts with their business context, works within the security and permissions they already trust, and can be up and running in minutes. That’s how we make AI practical for every user.”

Salesforce said the tool operates under applicable employee permissions, sharing rules, and configured access controls. Approval and audit capabilities are available for supported operations.

The new Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 connections allow Coworker to combine emails, calendars, and files with Salesforce data when preparing meeting briefs or customer renewal plans.

A feature called Skills lets teams reuse established workflows, while Conversation History allows employees to resume tasks across supported platforms and devices.

Salesforce listed these features and the new monthly pricing option as available at the time of the announcement.

Microsoft Teams integration, an iOS app, desktop apps for Mac and Windows, and a connectivity server using the Model Context Protocol (MCP) are scheduled for general availability in November. A free trial for Flex Credits customers is also planned for the month.

Scheduled tasks and a Daily Digest feature are expected in December. The additions are intended to automate recurring assignments and provide users with a summary of work priorities.

Coworker access through Salesforce’s Field Service, Consumer Goods Cloud, and Life Sciences Cloud mobile apps is also expected that month.

Salesforce said availability may vary by region, and pricing and packaging are subject to change.
