Smartphone manufacturer Starmobile, in collaboration with Cheetah Mobile, is pre-installing the Clean Master application on selected phone models of its KNIGHT series.
Telco giant PLDT announced on Thursday, April 23, that it has invested $15 million (about P664 million) in Malaysia-based technology start-up iflix, which plans to be Southeast Asia's leading Internet TV service.
Organized by its founding investor, Alps Ventures, the round was led by Beenos Asi, the investment subsidiary of Japanese e-commerce giant formerly known as netprice.com.
The Waze Connected Citizens program, launched in 2013, connects more than 20 municipalities, law enforcement and departments of transportation with their citizens via a no-cost two-way public data share.
Their website has also been made mobile-friendly and that of the 700,000 plus monthly page views that their site receives, almost half comes from mobile sources such as smartphones and tablets.
By the end of 2015, the number of smartphones in the country will already reach 40 million and on top of that, over 900 2GO outlets will turn into a drop-off pawnshop from day one, the firm said.
