BIR adds PayMaya as cashless option for paying taxes

PayMaya said it will also be soon enabling the BIR with a capability to accept payments from PayMaya users using only their mobile numbers through the BIR website, as well as a facility to allow Filipinos to pay taxes using any credit, debit, or prepaid card.

As a start, PayMaya account holders will soon be able to remit their tax payments to BIR through the Pay Bills feature of the PayMaya app. PayMaya is also working with BIR to extend digital tax payments to other channels, such as through its online portal and its revenue district offices nationwide.
