The Ayala-owned telco said it also working to finalize the interconnection of fixed landline service with Dito.

The franchise of Dito Telecommunity Corp got the approval of 17 senators, with Senators Risa Hontiveros and Francis Pangilinan voting against it and Sen. Panfilo Lacson abstaining.

The auditing of Dito Telecommunity was conducted by independent auditors KPMG R.G. Manabat & Co. and Engr. Pierre Tito Galla of Democracy.net.ph, who both confirmed that Dito successfully met the population coverage requirement as well as the minimum Internet speed.

Based on Dito’s commitment, their services as the new major player in the telco industry can be expected to be available nationwide by mid-2021.
